The Kinsen hotspring was fantastic. I had visited numerous hotspring places; the Kinsen hotspring quality in this hotel was the best. The semi-outdoor Kinsen hotspring bath inside the hotel room was fabulous.
The hotel room was very comfortable, clean, spacious, and quiet. I greatly appreciated the check in time of 2pm and check out time of 12 noon. This allowed me to enjoy the hotel facilities without feeling rushed.
The hotel location was great, less than 5 minutes walk to the town centre and the train station. Free shuttle bus service was available. The service provided by the hotel staff was excellent, warm, and personalised; certainly first class.
The hotel was a perfect place to relax and rejuvenate our mind, body and soul. Overall, our experience was truly wonderful.

The outdoor private onsens were amazing. Booking them was easy and there was always availability. It's really not necessary to get the in-room onsen.
The yukata and japanese pj's which were provided were also great quality. I now regret not buying some :)
There are some great hiking trails and a hilltop shrine near the hotel, which are very quiet and secluded.
The hotel offers access to a local onsen (hot spring), with an authentic setting and modern bath facilities as well, located near a corner of forest, with a beautiful view!
My husband and I loved the exceptional staff, beautifully appointed rooms and the location. The most outstanding feature of Dormy Inn Kobe Motomachi Natural Hot Springs was the Onsen. Having free laundry facilities on the premises was a huge bonus.
Traditional Japanese surroundings and building, but inside was modern comfort.
My husband can not sleep on tatami floor with futon , therefore bed was a big point to choose this hotel.
Famous Kin-sen is few minutes walk distance.
Welcome drink at beautiful cafe.
The ryokan's onsen was amazing, the staff was very welcoming and helpful, everything was provided and explained to us (yukatas, amenities, tea, crackers...). Location was also great, right next to bus station.
I think we were given a free upgrade, the room is very big and spacious. We love everything in this ryokan especially the onsen. Yukata were provided, even the skincare provided were branded, Kose. Shuttle bus was provided in and out from the ryokan to bus station or train station. Staff were great and the whole environment was serene. A great place to rest and relax and recharge. Awesome stay, great job!!!
The Japanese style room was spacious and well equipped. The check-in was super easy, and the staff were informative and friendly. The location is in the heart of Arima Onsen. Dressed in your yukata, winter jacket, and clogs (graciously supplied by the hotel), you are a few steps away from the well-known Kin no Yu Onsen and foot bath. The futons were super comfortable, too, giving you a restful nights sleep.
-Private onsen and affordable room rates as compared to other hotels nearby
-Very suitable for children to stay
-Free yukata to wear during stay
-Has indoor swimming pool though we didn't try
-Very comfy and spacious room of traditional style futon
-Nice scenery from room
-There is a brownish mochi (few free snacks in the room) that is extremely nice. You can buy it at the counter too
Our first stay in Japanese ryokan was a great expirience. Wood, tatami, futons, japanese garden, free yukatas, beautiful pottery made by famous Kyoto artist. Separated large bathtub and shower. Free tickets to Gin and Kin onsens! Arima is a very beautiful place!
Gorgeous ryokan with good onsens. It was my first traditional Japanese hotel and onsen, so I was very impressed by hospitality, kaiseki dinner, the view, the room with tatami, yukata and hot springs. Totally recommend it!
