Imazato Ryokan, hotel in Osaka

A 5-minute walk from the Imazato Station on Kintetsu line and metro, Imazato Ryokan features affordable accommodations with a flat-screen TV and free WiFi.

The place was well taken care of and with lots of space; if you travel with a big backpack, you don't have to worry about narrow stairs ;). The bathroom was well equiped and spatious, with stools to sit on during shower. The employees and owners were nice and didn't mind answering questions that I forgot the answers for. Also, if someone is interested in manga, there is a nice collection to read during the stay!

Gyokuzoin, hotel in Osaka

The accommodation facility of Gyokuzoin Temple features a hot public bath. The hotel is located in Mount Shigisan and houses a souvenir shop and drinks vending machines.

This was a magical and wonderful experience that will stay in our hearts for ever. The temple location in the mountain was very quiet, futons were really confortable, both meals were delicious and delicate and we could attend two different prayers early in the morning and experience mediation time with a monk. The temple grounds are nice to walk around in the evening. Thank you.

I loved the general vibe of the staff and the home was beautiful! It’s a welcoming environment and provides a more authentic cultural experience, being able to sleep on tatami and futons! Also there is a cafe and bar downstairs that serves great drinks!

Great onsen! Nice and warm sauna and hot spring. Also there are massage chairs and milk dispensers. Nice private facilities as well. Rooms are nice with a nice tatami smell.

This was my favourite place to stay on my Japan trip. I absolutely loved the Onsen and massage chairs. Most of all, I fell in love with leaving my shoes at the hotel entrance and walking around in socks on the wonderful tatami floors.

Really comfortable room - we loved the tatami flooring and futons, and the layout was great with the separated window room looking out over the river. Comfiest pillows of the whole holiday (we stayed in 5 hotels over 3 weeks). The location was ideal, though maybe not great if you have children with you. The onsen was fabulous - I am quite heavily tattooed and they had no problem with it all, so it was the only onsen I had the opportunity to use during my holiday.

Location is fantastic, just minutes away from Dotonburi, and the actual ryokan is very clean, has many amenities as well as an authentic Japanese experience for the cost. They also provide Yukatas, and have your futon set up for you which is a big plus.

Of course the onsen, but also the breakfast room, which looked very friendly and open. The breakfast itself was very good as well, especially nice as it was a traditional breakfast - as well as traditionally served. The room was nice, but of course traditionally small as a Japanese room with futons. We got exactly what we expected as a "typical Japan experience"

We wanted to experience a ryokan so booked this place. It wasn't quite what we had imagined since it's a huge place. The rooms are very large and had futons that were laid out at night. We opted for the traditional breakfast in the morning, which was fine though not extraordinary. The location is good, on the canal just across the street from a lively area with tons of restaurants and shops.

Absolutely lovely stay in an authentic ryokan. The welcome treats, yukata (bathrobe), and bath slippers provided were sweet, homey touches. The in-house onsen was a great way to end a long day and unwind.

Excellent location, had view over Dotonburi River which was stunning at night! Very comfy futons, large room for two people, tea and yukata nightwear provided, good sized bathroom, working AC, fridge for keeping drinks/food cool, lifts worked well, everything very clean and staff friendly! Not a bad thing to say, the perfect stay in a ryokan style room and at an excellent price!
