Rights and permissions

All FAO publications are protected by copyright. In support of its mandate and its commitment to open access principles, FAO seeks to maximize discoverability and use of its knowledge and information through free access and direct downloading of all publications, documents and reports via its online Document Repository under an Open Access policy.

Except where otherwise indicated, FAO publications may be copied, printed and downloaded for private study, research and teaching purposes, and for use in non-commercial products or services, provided that appropriate acknowledgement of FAO as the source and copyright holder is given and that FAO's endorsement of users' views, products or services is not stated or implied in any way.
