Join us for a workshop with Senior Policy Advisor at Open Forum Europe (OFE), Ciarán O’Riordan on how we can influence legislation in favor of software freedom.

This is a virtual workshop, which will be held on Galène. The link will be shared upon registration. Sign up to secure your spot.

Date: July 1, 2024
Time: 12:00-13:30 EDT (16:00-17:30 UTC)

Summary

Public policy work can't be done in the way we develop software. Not everything can be done transparently, and forks often don't work. This workshop on "How We Win" is not about how we will win, but rather, "here's what we did right, those times that we won". Participants will work on interaction and brainstorming on real questions that have come up. We'll explore the idea of solving the problem at hand, but also trying to get a good outcome for all the meta problems so that the group and the ecosystem as a whole is also in a good position to work on the following phase or the next legislative project.
