Opening Times
Initially the opening times will be Monday - Sunday, 8am - 5pm.
Booking Your Tee Time
Do not book golf if you are unwell, suffering with any symptoms of COVID-19 or are in the highest risk (shielded group).
Initially, golf will be played in strict formats of individuals or two balls comprising of golfers from different or the same household.
Pre-booking is compulsory and can be made up to 7 days in advance, golfers will be restricted to a maximum of 3 rounds per week. Rounds can be booked using our online booking system and app. When it comes to the booking system we have listened to your feedback and made the following change to maximise the availability. Tee Times have been changed to be individually bookable therefore you are no longer reserving the time for up to 3 additional golfers. As such, each golfer must now make their own individual bookings in order to reserve a Tee Time. Due to current guidance, we can only play 2 balls at this time so please be aware of this when booking as there will only be 2 places available for each Tee Time. The booking system will be live from 9pm on Wednesday 24th February on a first come first served basis.
Members with no IT access can continue to use the phone booking system set up last season. This phone line is open Monday - Sunday, 10am - 12pm for players to book.
No golfers should arrive at the club without a pre-booked tee time, those doing so will not be permitted to play. Bookings affected by any forced closure of the courses will not be transferred.
We are aware of an anomaly with the booking system that seems to have allowed some people to book on the course. Please be aware that the booking system is not live until 9pm tonight (Wednesday 24 February 2021). Any bookings made prior to this time will be removed.
Book a tee off time
Locker Room
Following guidance issued by Scottish Golf, locker rooms will be NOT be open. Toilets will be available.
Appointments can be arranged for Members to collect their clubs from lockers by calling the starters box on 01382 438871. Please report to the Starters box window on arrival to collect your clubs.
Arrival at the Club
From Monday 1st March, it is essential that you arrive only a short time (around 10-15 minutes maximum) before your tee time, if you are on site earlier than this please remain in your car until 10 minutes before your tee off time. Park in such a way as to maintain social distancing requirements. Please change your shoes at your car. Golfers for both 18 & 9 Holes must report to the starter's box window on arrival for registration.
Car Parking
Due to ongoing demolition works, the golfer's car park is of reduced capacity at the moment. We would ask that Golfer's use other car parking areas at Mains Castle or the former overflow car parking area, when the car park is full. There is pedestrian access alongside the practice area wall to the course from the former overflow car park. Please park considerately. These works are scheduled to last for 4-5 weeks and will increase the capacity of the car park when completed.
Warming Up
The Putting Green and Practice area are available for pre-round warmup only. Please check in at the Starters box before use.
Course Condition
The courses are just emerging from a prolonged period of cold weather and will take some time to recover. Please be patient with our greenkeepers as they work hard to return the course to full playing conditions following weeks of limited work.
Playing of your Golf Round
- Scorecards should be used sparingly, if at all and must not be exchanged.
- Initially bunkers will be GUR. When in use (which will be soon) do your best to smooth the sand, after your shot, with your feet and/or your club.
- Course furniture has been removed where possible and any remaining has been covered and must not be used.
- Stakes must not be touched or removed and are to be treated as immovable obstructions.
- Holes are of a much reduced depth allowing retrieval of your ball with reduced risk of contamination.
- Flag pins should not touched at any time.
- Social distancing and common sense must be exercised at all times.
Completion of your Round
On completion of your round we would ask that you understand this brings an end to your social time on the course. After putting out please start to leave the course immediately and make your separate ways to the car park and change any clothing and footwear there. Remaining socially distanced at all times will help keep golf open.
