Details

You can use these forms to object to someone registering a lasting power of attorney (LPA) or an enduring power of attorney (EPA).

To object to the registration of an LPA you’ll need to use:

  • LPA006 if you are the donor of the LPA and want to object for any reason
  • LPA007 if you are an attorney or a ‘person to notify’ and want to object on factual grounds
  • LPA008 if you are anyone (including an attorney or a ‘person to notify’) who wants to object for other reasons (called ‘prescribed grounds’)

If you want to object on prescribed grounds, you must also apply to the Court of Protection and pay a £400 fee.

To object to the registration of an EPA you’ll need to:

  • use form EP3PG if you have been notified about the registration
  • apply to the court if you have not been notified
