Two men have been charged following the discovery of a cannabis factory at a disused bank in Great Yarmouth.

Officers found the cannabis farm in the former NatWest branch in Hall Quay at around 8.50pm on Friday and discovered plants growing on three floors of the building. 

Two men were arrested at the scene on suspicion of cultivation of cannabis and taken to Great Yarmouth Police Station for questioning.

Fatjon Hallaci, 32, and Mark Kola, 34, both of Hall Quay, were charged with the production of cannabis and were due to appear in court today.

A police seal remains in place and investigations are continuing.

Several police cars were spotted outside the former Star Hotel, next to the disused bank, on Friday night.

At least three police vehicles and officers were seen close to the boarded-up hotel at around 11.30pm.

On Saturday morning, police tape was spotted on the door of the former Natwest building which is connected to the hotel.
