4 tips for booking flights to study abroad

Travelling on a student visa for the first time can be exciting as well as overwhelming

Here are four important tips to keep in mind while booking your flight tickets to study abroad

Opt for a student discount

Most airlines offer student discount which offers extra baggage allowance for students. Make sure you carry your student ID card or enrollment letter during your check-in

Check the baggage allowances

To avoid paying extra baggage fee, look for airlines that have higher baggage allowances as moving to a different country will require you to carry a large amount of baggage

Book flexible date change tickets

It is a good idea to opt for airlines that allow you to change your travel date in case your student visa gets delayed or any other last minute changes of plan

Consider direct flights

Airports in big cities can be a hassle to navigate, especially with a lot of luggage. Consider taking a direct flight especially if you are travelling alone for the first time
