WTC Final, India vs Australia Day 3 Highlights

Team India made 296 runs in their first innings with the help of Ajinkya Rahane's fighting 89

 Ajinkya Rahane and Shardul Thakur ensured that India lost just one wicket in the first session

Rahane returned to form by scoring India’s first half-century in WTC final’

Thakur also completed his half-century before falling. He scored 51 off 109 balls

Team India recovered brilliantly from 152/6 to put 296 on the board

This helped Australia gain a first-innings lead of 173 runs

Mohammed Siraj took the first wicket of Australia's David Warner

Umesh Yadav then dismissed Usman Khawaja early in the third session

Ravindra Jadeja took the wickets of Travis Head and Steve Smith towards the end of a day in which India managed to keep a hold on the proceedings despite being far behind

Team Australia ended Day 3 on 123/4 with a lead of 296 runs
