The Humber LEP aims to bring together key partners from the public and private sectors to promote the regional both nationally and internationally. We do this through our Marketing Group which includes organisations who have a remit to promote the Humber, such as UKTI, Hull & Humber Chamber of Commerce, World Trade Centre Hull & Humber and Bondholders, as well as representatives of local businesses. By working together, we can promote consistent messages about the region and maximise the resources we have to raise the profile of the Humber’s unique offer as the UK’s Energy Estuary.

The Humber LEP and local authority partners run the highly successful Humber Renewables exhibition programme, supported by the Green Port Growth RGF programme. The Humber Renewables stand provides the region with a high profile presence at renewables industry expos in the UK and overseas. At each expo, we offer space on the stand to Humber companies to do business and promote the Humber region as a prime location for renewables companies, especially those in the offshore wind sector.

We work closely with UKTI and local authorities to provide a single point of contact for companies looking to invest in the Humber region. This service aims to make it simple for potential investors to find relevant information about the region, including skills availability and suitable development sites or premises. The Humber LEP and Bondholders have developed thehumber.com, a single website bringing together information about investing in the Humber for potential investors.

We co-ordinate international trade missions and manage visits to the region by potential investors. Recent missions have included a visit by officials and local companies to Malaysia to develop trade and inward investment opportunities, organised in partnership with the Chamber of Commerce and local authorities.
