As part of the Humber LEP’s commitment to improve the level of employability skills throughout the Humber, a validation approach has been developed and agreed by the Employment and Skills Board.

This approach has seen the development of a framework of expectations for any employability passports submitted for validation and is based on the CBI’s 7 employability skills:

  • Self-Management;
  • Teamwork;
  • Business and Customer Awareness;
  • Problem Solving;
  • Communication & Literacy;
  • Application of Numeracy;
  • Application of ICT

A trailblazer pilot programme has tested the validation framework capturing both employer and provider feedback to enable the next steps in this important project to be planned.

Humber Learning Consortium (HLC) secured resources to roll out a further phase of the project by the end of March 2019, if you would like to be involved there is a deadline of Friday 16th November to complete an online expression of interest.
