Full Job Description

Our Analysts have the unique opportunity to work across lines of business written in both the Lloyds Market and London Market, without the need to be based in London.
Your new role
Reporting to our Capital Modelling Manager, you'll assist them ensuring that processes are aligned to business needs. You'll take crucial part in the overall support and provision of actuarial services, using our mature business processes, ensuring that business decisions are made using the best possible quantitative information.
Other responsibilities:

  • Using appropriate systems and procedures to ensure accurate data is used and subsequently appropriate analyses produced. This is to include adopting efficient and consistent actuarial models and processed and/or technologies where appropriate.

  • Ensure appropriate checks are performed within processes to minimize inaccuracies.

  • Comply with documentation of key processes and policies to ensure QBE Europe and its divisions.

  • Comply with all material legal and regulatory requirements, Adhere to relevant actuarial standards and good practice.

  • Meet all internal European and/or global internal reporting requirements & support with minimizing the risk of business discontinuity.

    You've an understanding of the workings of an Actuarial from working in relevant role and/or have a degree in any field of study with great mathematic credentials.   • Other skills you'll need:
  • Ideally passed 1 or 2 actuarial exams

  • Collaboration skills

  • Proactive and curious by nature

  • Experience with Microsoft Excel & other analytical tools, and knowledge of a programming language e.g. SAS, SQL
