Full Job Description

  • To work with all landscape based teams in delivering the maintenance programme to a high standard and within the given timescales. This includes tasks such as mowing, strimming, litter picking, shrub pruning, weeding and hedge cutting

  • To ensure that all necessary paperwork is handed in on time and completed in a professional manner

  • Complete all preoperational checks to machinery and vehicles in accordance with Bennett Landscapes & Maintenance Limited internal policy

  • To ensure that punctuality and attendance are always adhered to for Bennett Landscapes & Maintenance Limited also for Birmingham Metropolitan College

  • Ensure that all PPE and corporate uniform is always worn

  • To accompany a variety of teams in completing the cyclical and responsive work that is required across all our service areas

  • Ensure that Bennetts landscape programme is kept to a high standard and completed within the given timeframe

  • Promote and maintain a culture which places customers first and aims to deliver a high standard of service


  • The training you will be getting

    Undergo training, on a day release basis under the supervision of Birmingham Metropolitan College.

Bennett Landscapes are willing to train and support your development via this great apprenticeship opportunity! They are looking for someone who is able work confidently with other people, use their own initiative and have a love for what they do.,
  • Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (1 Day course-Ofqual registered qualification)

  • LANTRA Level 2 Principles of Safe Handling and Application of Pesticides or C&G Level 2 Award in the Safe Use of Pesticides

  • LANTRA Level 2 Award in Safe Application of Pesticides Using Hand-Held Equipment or C&G Level 2 Award in Safe Application of Pesticides Using Pedestrian Equipment

  • An apprentice is expected to attend college at least 1 day a week at the Botanical Garden Study Centre

  • Functional Skills in English and maths if required, Organisation skills, Customer care skills, Team working, time management, build positive relationships, GCSE or equivalent English (Grade 9-3/A-D) Desired

  • GCSE or equivalent maths (Grade 9-3/A
