Full Job Description
You will assist with residential groundworks projects across the regions operational area in values from £1 million to £20 million, covering anything from small works to major programmes. You will report into the managing Quantity Surveyor/Group Commercial Director at our Redditch regional office. Training will be given on all in-house procedures and full PPE will be provided for site visits. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Regular site visits, feeding back key information from the site team and reporting on overall site progress to the Quantity Surveyor.
- Reviewing work requirements against labour and programming relevant contractors, including pricing for additional or specialist works.
- Monitoring and confirming sub-contractor invoices weekly/monthly.
- Monitoring any changes to projects i.e. drawings/additional works and review cost implications alongside the quantity surveyor.
- Regular interactions with existing and new clients, i.e. attending any relevant meetings and events that are vital to building good working relationships.
Hold previous surveying experience at trainee or assistant level - Hold or working towards a HNC/HND qualification (Preferable)
- Full, clean, valid UK driving licence
- Willing to commute to sites across the regions operational area
- Hours - 07:30am - 17:00pm
