AUM Accountant

We need someone that is interested in developing an understanding of the products and services that make up Schroders AUM and drive our revenues. You will be involved in producing our monthly consolidated AUM, sales, and annualised revenue results, delivering analysis and reporting, supporting key stakeholders inside and outside Finance. We are currently reviewing our systems strategy and service model; therefore, this role also provides the opportunity to be involved in shaping and delivering on the future roadmap for AUM reporting.

What you'll do

• Understanding the drivers of the movements in AUM and producing analysis of these movements for the group. Looking for opportunities to use our platforms and data to develop insights and improve detective controls;


• Production of monthly group AUM, sales, and annualised revenue results and the group Weekly Sales report;


• Generating alternate AUM views, including investment desk, business area, regulatory and client segmentation views;


• Supporting Sales and Product teams with information for use in client RFP responses and other analysis;


• Proactively identifying and delivering change opportunities, to improve efficiency of the teams' processes, reduce risk and improve our reporting and analysis and


• Cross training and providing cover for other team members.
  
  The team consists of accountants and data professionals. We are looking for individuals that understand principles required for producing robust financial reporting, and who are equally comfortable working with complex data sets.


• A background in either accounting or data analysis;


• Strong systems skills, with advanced Excel and an interest in learning new applications and developing skills managing complex data;


• Change focussed, willing to challenge the current way of doing things;


• Proven problem-solving skills, comfortable taking the initiative in challenging and ambiguous circumstances;


• Good time keeping, able to manage conflicting workloads and meet tight deadlines;


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills;


• Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, combined with ability to derive and implement required tactical measures and


• Capable of remaining positive when under pressure.

The team
You'll be part of our Finance Data and Detective Analytics team, who are based in London and Luxembourg. We also work closely with other areas of the wider Finance community and people across the business. Our focus is to manage the groups AUM, sales, and annualised revenue data, compiling and analysing the groups consolidated results for reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
