Building Surveyor

As Senior Building Surveyor you will be responsible for delivering interesting projects with a hands-on approach throughout the whole project life cycle from the initial design phase through to completion., Day to day responsibilities will require the Senior Building Surveyor to:

• Inspect and advise on the design, construction, maintenance, repair, and refurbishment of all types of buildings and sites


• Inspections to involve acquisition surveys, condition reports, measured surveys and defect investigations


• Prepare reports, schedule of works and works specifications


• Design and oversee works using recognised building contracts and to current technical standards.


• Be able to undertake project work autonomously with sound knowledge on all aspects of professional consultancy services


• Understand and apply other relevant legislation such as health and safety, party wall, building regulations and planning


• Support and supervise APC candidates / junior members of staff


• At all times to comply with the requirements of the Company's administrative, personnel procedures and Health & Safety regulations

To be considered for the role of Senior Building Surveyor, you must be able to demonstrate the following:

• Construction related degree (or equivalent)


• Chartered status with MRICS


• Extensive experience and knowledge surrounding the consulting, surveying, architectural & planning industry


• Exemplary experience in report writing and defect diagnosis/analysis


• Experience in Contract Administration


• Insurance repair project knowledge (preferred not essential)


• Have a professional manner and exceptional interpersonal skills
