Full Job Description

As a Driver with EMED you will work as part of a team to transport members of our local communities in a 16-seater, wheelchair accessible vehicle.,

  • Responsible for a high standard and safe transportation of clients

  • Drive our vehicles within the operating zones and in accordance with the standards required in the company's environmental policy

  • Check the vehicle prior to use in accordance with the daily vehicle checks list reporting any accident damage, defects, or deficiencies immediately and replenishing stock, as necessary

  • To report any safeguarding concerns/incidents or accidents to your line manager

  • Undertake all training that is required for the role. (Driving, PDA training etc)

    A full UK driving licence (no more than 6 penalty points)

  • Will hold a Category D Licence, or D1 licence (without 101 restriction) or a PSV Licence

  • Ideally have a driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) qualification (not essential), we can support you to obtain this

  • Be an effective and confident communicator

  • Strong customer service and people skills

  • Naturally demonstrate team collaboration

    Due to expansion here at EMED Group, we are looking for experienced drivers who hold a D Licence, D1 Licence (without 101 restriction) or PSV Licence to join our Demand Response Transport (DRT) team to provide a door-to-door service like no other.


  • WESTlink is a new type of bus service which operates in the vast majority of the West of England, outside of Bristol and Bath city centres. This service runs without a fixed timetable or route, and is booked 'on demand' by users through the WESTlink app or by phone. Passengers can get on or off at existing bus stops (over 1,800) as well as at a number of easy to reach places, and then connect to major bus and rail services., The exciting merger of ERS Medical and E-Zec Medical has enabled us to rebrand, therefore as a combined business we are now known as EMED Group. We are the largest Patient Transport and Care Partner to the NHS with more than 2,500 colleagues across 50 depots. Our ambition is to continue developing transport services that improve the health and wellbeing for people across our local communities by providing transport that supports patient care, community support, secure mental health and medical courier services.

  • £15 per hour £34,320 per annum based on a 44 hour contract

  • Overtime hours available - can work up to 5 days a week in total

  • 20 days plus 8 bank holidays

  • 4 day a week rota

  • We have full time and part time positions available, working variable shifts between the hours of 05:00 & 22:00. Monday - Sunday
