Full Job Description

CMG are looking for an outgoing individual to work directly with their logistical and operational teams to ensure recovery solutions are delivered above and beyond customers expectations. This role is ideal for someone personable who enjoys making sure the customer has received the best result possible.

You will be working in our control centre taking live calls arranging recoveries, inputting data onto our RMS APEX recovery database, you will be dealing with sensitive information when dealing with the Police and require someone who can show compassion and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • To take incoming communications across a range of mediums (email, telephone, etc.) which will be from the CMG Recovery Fleet, Clubs and Customers, ensuring that you respond accordingly and in the appropriate manner at all times

  • Develop effective response plans from the correct operating procedures

  • To deploy roadside resources, such as Recovery Technicians, and follow up to ensure the required activity has been undertaken to contribute to the achievement of required performance targets.

  • To ensure that all parties are informed and receiving the accurate information in a timely manner

  • Continuously monitor the operation of the network by obtaining and reviewing information from multiple sources so that appropriate action can be taken

  • To ensure that accurate records of all works are kept and maintained


  • Due to the nature of our works you will be required to undergo a full Police Vetting check and a Disclosure Scotland DBS check.

  • Good working knowledge of Office applications such as Outlook and Word

  • Able to accurately capture, record and relay information using appropriate technology

  • To be able to remain calm under pressure and demonstrate control if challenged

  • Effective communication skills, verbal and written, with the ability to communicate issues to technical and non-technical people alike

  • Excellent organisational skills with the prioritisation and execution of actions and the ability to carry out their responsibilities with the minimum of supervision.


  • Entry requirements

    To be eligible for this apprenticeship, you must meet the following residency criteria: You must have lived in the UK, the British Overseas Territories, or Crown Dependencies (Channel Islands and Isle of Man) for at least three years prior to the start of the apprenticeship.

    GCSE Maths and English Grade C/4 or above.
