CAD Design Engineer

Generate production drawings in a timely manner in order to ensure the factory can operate efficiently and within the lead time plan. Giving consideration to lean manufacturing principles when producing drawings, to ensure products are manufactured in the most cost-effective manner.,

• Liaise with the sales and production teams and customers to ensure customer requirements are understood and met


• Understand and interpret customer/construction drawings (from customers and sales) in order to transfer them into a workable production drawing.


• Ensure job tickets are complete with all relevant information to enable production to produce the customers requirements to specification


• Work towards the development of a one team culture


• Work in a safe and healthy manner with support from the H&S Advisor.


• Work to high quality standards in partnership with the QMR (Quality Management Representative)


• Work towards continually improving processes and practices.


• Work in line with and adopt the ethos of 'The Eltherington Way' principles

  Proficient and experienced in the use of Radan, Solid Works Sheet Metal and Solid Works Driveway


• Knowledge of fabrication processes especially Press Brakes and Punch (laser)


• Proficient and experienced in the use of Microsoft Office and Word Processing software.


• Good and effective communication skills - oral and written


• Ideally qualified to HNC level as a minimum


• Ideally experience of BIM (Building Information Modelling)


• Must be focussed and methodical with good analytical skills
