Full Job Description

Clinical members are a key part of the Lead and Inform'and Transform' CRGs. CRG membership should be broad and representative of thespecialties and sub-specialties covered by the CRG, and include medical,nursing, pharmacy and allied healthcare professionals as appropriate.

The role ofthe CRGs is to lead the development of clinical commissioning policy, service specificationsand quality dashboards, advise on service reviews, conduct horizon scanning andadvise on innovation, identify, and explore opportunities to reduce clinical variationin healthcare and to deliver value.

They also provide advice to assist in answeringparliamentary and ministerial questions and other correspondence and provide otherad hoc advice where required.

The appointment, which is offered on anon-remunerated basis, is for a period of up to three years, with an annualreview of progress.
