Full Job Description

As a CNC Operator, you will operate machine tools in the manufacture of compressor components. To include setting, operating and inspection of machined components.

What Needs To Be Done?

  • Manufacture compressor components to Engineering drawings and specifications to ensure successful first time build and test of finished components.

  • Adhere to all relevant instructions contained within Work Standard Instructions (WSI's) in the manufacture of Compressor components.

  • Contribute and comply with accurate collation of Shop Floor Documentation information, including data contained within CPI's Shop Floor Data Collection system (SFDC).

  • Conform to all aspects of CPI's Quality Management System, including the fulfilment of all relevant procedures etc including all Standard Practice (SP's)

  • Deliver quality components in a timely manner whilst contributing to efficient and effective manufacturing principles.

  • Interact and respond to all aspects of supporting CPI's cost reduction, efficiency, delivery and Quality improvements.

  • Provide training support for Apprentices and work colleagues to help improve skills levels

  • Ensure adherence to health and safety standards in compliance with company policy to ensure safe working environment.

    Essential skills, knowledge & behaviours

  • Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship

  • Engineering drawing interpretation ability

  • Experienced in multi-disciplined CNC machining - Turning, milling, boring

  • General Environmental Health and Safety awareness

  • Previous experience of Precision Manufacture

  • Ability to work unsupervised
