Commercial Underwriter

Your role as a Property, Packages & Liability underwriter will involve working with selected brokers to optimise profitable growth from these accounts. You will apply a range of underwriting, relationship management and business development techniques.

This applies to new and/or existing business within our agreed process and defined risk appetite.You will spend most of your time working with your broker panel identifying, discussing, negotiating and converting new and existing business opportunities and making effective underwriting decisions.

As the PPL Underwriter you will typically be handling cases in the region of ÂŁ15,000 - ÂŁ100,000 premium.

To be successful in your role, you will ideally require experience within the property or liability / casualty market with either an insurance company background or a broking background.

However, we will consider applications from candidates who have insurance experience within another line of business or from a similar background such as claims or customer service.

This role will provide you with the opportunity to start your career in Insurance and would suit someone with strong customer and relationship skills.
