Full Job Description

Supporting adults who have a diagnosed mental illness to ensure they have a good quality of life and achieve increased independence in achieving their goals. You need to be able to demonstrate care, compassion, and an understanding of challenges that our clients face. This includes:

  • Providing individual care and support through a focus on clients' needs that reflect their agreed short and long-term goals

  • Monitoring of the person's accommodation, support and risk management plan to ensure the safety and well-being of them and others.

  • Carry out individual need/risk assessments; develop person centred support/care plans with clients and others involved in their support/care; and carry out regular reviews, ensuring excellent standards and successful outcomes for clients

  • Support clients to part in daily activities that promote their wellbeing e.g craft, cooking, sports, volunteering etc.

  • Support the client to access and use community resources and groups in their area.

    We are looking for a full-time person who is flexible, committed, and demonstrates compassion and care for people with suffering with mental health problems. The role requires working within a team and as an individual. All staff receive excellent support and regular supervision. This is a varied and interesting role that would suit someone who would like to progress in their career in the social care sector or someone who has never worked in the sector but has useful life experience and a caring attitude.

    Hours and Salary: Working a combination of shifts, with enhanced payments for Saturday evenings, Sundays, and bank holidays. Pay is reviewed and uplifted annually in April.

  • support worker rate £12.00 per hour.

  • Additional enhanced rate (£1.50 per hour) for weekend hours and overtime.
