Consultant Clinical Scientist

Are you a Consultant Clinical Scientist Microbiology (Clinical Scientist in microbiology with Fellowship of the Royal College of Pathologists by examination or equivalent) to work within an evolving Infection Service based in the Department of Pathology at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (LTHTR)., This job focuses on the clinical infection consultation and antibiotic stewardship elements of the service; however, there is also the opportunity to take on leadership roles in negotiation with colleagues. They will provide clinical and scientific advice to clinicians, other staff within the Trust and wider health community (e.g. staff from other laboratories, clinical staff, managers, GPs and community nurses) regarding microbiological investigations, their interpretation and appropriate therapy and provide expertise to support Infection Prevention and Control in LTHTR
