Customs Administrator

ConductingAudits on customs declarations for all countries where Castore UKimports goods.

Applies for refunds or arrangessupplementary payment of import duties.

Liaisewith customs brokers / customs officials to ensure efficientclearance of goods.

Assist the Shipping Clerk toprovide clearance instructions for all courier shipments.

Receive monthly MSS Data report from HMRC andreconcile results ensuring correct amount of import duties has beenpaid.

Develop working knowledge of import / exportlaws and regulations.

Develop working knowledgeof customs topics such as Incoterms Commodity Codes andPreferentialOrigin.

Experienceworking in an international company in a customsrole

Experience with imports / exports

Understanding of Incoterms and the implicationsof differing terms

A passion for customs with adrive to increase knowledge

A team player whowill work closely with the tax and customsteam

A confident communicator who can explaincomplex matters to all levels of stakeholders

Reporting to the Head of Tax with thesupport of a experienced customs lead this role will allow anaspiring customs expert to work in a highly internationalenvironment and build the experience and knowledge to implementprocesses and compliance on a global scale.
