Full Job Description

This role is primarily concerned with delivering cyber security monitoring services at tactical, operational and strategic levels for colleagues within the Security and Information Management directorate and across the business, as well as managing a team of more junior Cyber Security Analysts.

The Lead Monitoring Analyst (and their team) is broadly responsible for monitoring, detecting, analysing, remediating, and reporting on cyber events and incidents impacting the technical infrastructure of our organisation. You will utilise a variety of technologies and tools to identify and manage threats and vulnerabilities, and will tie in closely with other teams to ensure our continued high-level of security.

As an accomplished Cyber Security professional, you've got solid experience utilising SIEM capabilities as a security analyst, overseeing incident response, impact analysis and report writing. You can manage threats confidently, and can help build a team's capabilities. Additionally, you've got a working knowledge of query languages like KQL or SPL.

Salary: £40,964 - £47,672 plus up to £5,000 skills allowance
