Full Job Description

The Development Operations Officer is a key member of the Development and Alumni Relations team (DARO) and is responsible for managing and maintaining the DARS (Development and Alumni Relations System) database which underpins all DARO's activities including data processes, imports, exports and other Development and Alumni Office projects and tasks.

The successful candidate will also regularly and proactively identify new prospects by researching alumni, interrogating the DARS database and using other identification techniques. They will also manage the stewardship cycle of reporting for key donors and support the Regular Giving Manager in their activities through gift processing and reporting.

The appointee will be proficient in the use of databases and have experience of GDPR administration as well as a flexible and adaptable attitude towards duties as some out of hours and travel within the UK and abroad is occasionally required. You will have excellent interpersonal, organisational and planning skills and the ability to work independently and decisively when the situation demands it. Experience of carrying out prospect research in a charity or higher education establishment is desirable.
