Full Job Description
- As a Multi skilled Maintenance apprentice you will follow a structured programme and carry out appropriate training tasks required to attain a full multi skilled Maintenance apprenticeship, in Mechanical and Electrical engineering.
- Working with and learning from multi skilled maintenance engineers you will analyse, and fault find mechanical and electrical breakdowns quickly returning assets to service.
- You will carry out PPM schedules and complete work requests, project work and support continuous improvement initiatives. Reactive and scheduled maintenance work is planned through the companies CMMS system.
- You will be involved with and support, project work that brings the latest industry technology into Caterpillar.
- As part of the 42 month programme, you will be required to undertake extensive training both on the job and at college.
- You will be required to undertake academic qualifications to a minimum HNC level.
- Work for a world leading brand.
- Gain a solid understanding of maintenance and operational practices processes and procedures covering a wide range of plant and equipment.
- Gain knowledge and understanding of mechanical and electrical production systems.
- Understand the systems and procedures required to work safely and efficiently.
- Develop the behavioural skills to become a great team member.
The entry requirements are GCSE grades 4/C and above in Maths, English and STEM subjects. - Enthusiastic individuals with a flexible approach to their work and a keen desire to progress personally and build a long career in a multi skilled Maintenace role.
- An inquisitive and enquiring mind along with a desire to learn from others.
- Excellent problem solving skills, with a calm methodical approach to tasks.
- Good time management
- Excellent communication skills.
