About the role:
The events team is at the heart of Jisc's engagement, with both our members and our customers. You will have the opportunity to work with this highly experienced and passionate team and help deliver our hugely successful events across a wide range of specialities and subject matters.

You'll be a key player and support to our events team by handling admin, working closely with internal stakeholders and with the wider marcomms team to ensure our events (both physical and online) are delivered to a high standard showcasing how Jisc support our members in HE, FE and research.

We are looking for a someone who is able generate innovative solutions to challenges and who can make sound decisions fast whilst working in a high-paced, high-pressure environment. You will also be passionate in looking for new and exciting ways to constantly improve the events that Jisc delivers.

You will be required to attend the Bristol office for weekly meetings and to organise other events when needed, but there is also flexibility to work from home in this role. Please note you must also be also happy to travel, including overnight stays for on-site support at UK based events.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Work with stakeholders across the organisation who have submitted event proposals to understand the aims and objectives of each event and the support required for delivery.

  • Administration support.

  • Setting up and on the day support of Jisc's online events held on Zoom.

  • Create and maintain the events calendar and manage all enquiries into the events inbox.

  • Create and manage delegate registration forms and post-event surveys.

    Demonstrated experience of supporting the delivery of live and specifically online events.

  • Experience of working with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Strong project management skills.

  • Confident to communicate clearly at all levels including with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Ability to change plans quickly when presented with challenges or obstacles
