Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Events/Sales/Office Administrator to join our small and friendly team.

The successful candidate would ideally have an Event/Sales/Administration background and will be responsible for both income generation and administrative support for this very busy office and will also play a key role and assist in the many events that are held from Sleepover events, Conferences, Weddings, Educational talks and workshops etc.

The role is varied, busy and no 2 days will ever be the same and as such the ideal candidate must be organised and have an excellent eye for detail, be focused and determined and pride themselves in providing excellent customer service. From organising student accommodation to the set up and breakdown of rooms for events as well as everything in between, the successful candidate will need to be physically fit and have their own transport due to the location.

The ideal candidate will be highly motivated and have the desire to completely immerse themselves into all aspects of the role, from making beds through to dealing with celebrity VIP's in a professional, and mature manner. Please Note: Although this position will generally be Monday to Friday from 9am - 5pm, this is not a 9-5 role and many of the events held require either early mornings, late evenings and some overnights, weekends spent in a tent!!! For which time off in lieu will be given.

Duties to include:

  • Using a variety of software packages, such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, etc., to produce correspondence, documents and maintain records, spreadsheets and databases

  • Overseeing the administration of all events, processing payments, and keeping accurate records

  • Assist with setting up/breakdown of conferences, weddings, fundraising and corporate events.

  • Income Generation

  • Assisting at and participating in fundraising events and schemes

  • Sorting and distributing incoming post and organising and sending outgoing post

  • Photocopying, printing and laminating documents

  • Answering the phone and dealing with general enquiries

  • Responding to letters and emails as instructed

  • Reception duties.

  • Ordering and maintaining stationery and equipment

  • Liaising with caterers and other outside contractors

  • Manage/respond to telephone and email enquiries

  • Update bookings diary and databases

  • Monitor/order/record all required equipment/stock

  • General correspondence
