Full Job Description

A rare opportunity to support the East Devon National Trust team, on a part time basis based in Branscombe or Exmouth. The primary role is to coordinate compliance across the area, working closely with the Countryside Manager, the A la Ronde Property Operations Manager and Building Surveyors.

We are looking for a part time Facilities & Support Services Co-ordinator to provide essential services across the East Devon coast. Providing a friendly and efficient service, you will play a large role in ensuring we are providing the best customer service and facilities maintenance across a number of properties, with the aim of providing our staff, volunteers and visitors a safe and sustainable experience.

  • good written & verbal communication skills.

  • knowledge of Health & Safety procedures.

  • experience of managing or coordinating contractors.

  • knowledge of building maintenance requirements.

  • good IT Skills

  • ideally practical experience and ability to complete minor maintenance.

A la Ronde, Exmouth is a Grade 1 listed house, much loved and with significant potential when managed with the adjoining farm as one entity. welcomes more than half a million visitors a year. The Branscombe office is located along the coast in one of England's prettiest villages with a working water mill all part of the Trust's estate. Make no mistake, this is a busy and thriving portfolio of stunning countryside, coast, and signature properties.

  • What you'll be doing:The role will provide an efficient, effective, and flexible business support and facilities management service within a technically complex portfolio. In these roles you will be working within the National Trust procedures and conservation guidelines as well as supporting the team (of staff and volunteers) to meet its objectives by ensuring high standards in business support, compliance, customer service and facilities maintenance. The roles are part time and with working hours expected across three or more weekdays.

    Hours: 22 hrs per week over 3 or more days

    Duration: These will be a permanent contract, with paid holidays, plus free National Trust membership, a company pension scheme, with Perks at Work Scheme and 20% Discount in all National Trust shops and National Trust holidays.
