Full Job Description

  • Commissioning and annual servicing of Fire Extinguisher held in stock

  • Servicing a wide variety of equipment; Irons, Lighting units, Power transformers, cabling

  • Service and repairs of Kayak trailers

  • Safe use of tooling held within the department

  • Servicing of heating systems and fuel containers

  • Carry out servicing work and reports as required in accordance with the relevant technical publications for: MoD & Loan Pool stocks

  • Use trade skills and qualifications in conjunction with current technical documents to carry out servicing and repair to MoD stock

  • Responsible for ensuring that serviceable stock is available for MoD customers within time constraints/KPI's

  • Work to be planned for priority items on a daily basis overall section work to be planned on a weekly basis

  • Complete the daily MHE safety checks (where applicable)

    Experience of working to agreed targets

  • PC literate

  • MHE licence (where applicable)

  • Recognised Engineering Qualifications (City & Guilds, ONC, NVQ2 or equivalent)

  • Ability to work individually or as part of a team

  • Reliable

  • Good Communication skills

  • Ability to achieve a high level of accuracy

  • High attention to detail

  • Effective decision maker
