Full Job Description

  • Setting, assisting and running various machines, more specifically a high speed automatic speciality folder gluer machine for the production of corrugated packaging.

  • Using hand tools to adjust the machine settings.

  • Loading bundles of corrugated sheets of various sizes on to the feed section of a machine throughout the run of a job which last up to a full 8 hour shift.

  • Palletising finished product at the end of a machine and moving pallets to the strapping line.

  • Disposing of corrugated waste materials in the baling room.


    • · Monitoring and controlling quality.

    · Following verbal and written instructions and completing relevant paperwork.

    · Achieve KPIs and quality levels set by the Production Manager.

    · Maximise machine efficiencies and minimise Downtime.

    · Ensure all standard operating procedures are adhered to (e.g. PPE, health and safety, hygiene and operational standards).

    · Ensure machine speeds are always optimised.

    · Maintain good housekeeping.,
  • Standing for long periods of time. No task is able to be carried out sat down.

  • Bending to and from pallets placed on the floor, with raw material or finished goods.

  • Moving pallets of raw material or finished goods around the factory using a pallet truck.

  • Assisting in all areas of the factory which includes, but isn't limited to, setting, running or assisting on a machine, stripping waste cardboard, assembling cardboard products, re-palletising cardboard sheets/product and using a hand strapper to bundle products.

    · Good attendance and timekeeping.


    • · Good numeric and literacy skills.

    · Excellent attention to detail.

    · Knowledge of carton printing and/or gluing is helpful to the role.

    · Machine operating experience required as a minimum, with gluing knowledge and/or experience ideally preferred.

    · Ability to problem solve.

    · Ability to work with minimal supervision.

    · Good organisational and self-motivational skills.

    · High levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
