Full Job Description

The Resources and Transformation Directorate is responsible for managing a variety of major programmes throughout Walsall and the Black Country, including the Walsall and Bloxwich Towns Deals, which aim to support local economic growth and make a real difference to the lives of residents and the community.

An exciting opportunity has presented itself within the Accountable Body team for a Governance & Contracts Officer. We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated officer to effectively liaise with project partners to initiate the pre-contracting process, and then develop and draft grant agreements which capture the funding, terms and conditions and value added outputs and outcomes that these innovative projects will deliver.

You should be an excellent communicator with the ability to build and develop strong partnerships with a wide range of stakeholders to support our contracting governance and monitoring processes.

If you are able to manage a demanding portfolio, are adaptable in changing circumstances and possess excellent attention to detail, administration and organisational skills, we would welcome your application., This post is covered by the Government's Code of Practice on the English Language Fluency Duty for public sector workers. The post holder will be required to communicate verbally with customers and provide advice and/or information in accurate spoken English.
