Graduate Mechanical Development Engineer

Join our Cutting-Edge Team in Liverpool as a Graduate Mechanical Development Engineer!,

• Working within a team of Mechanical Development Engineers to develop and deliver prototypes and technical solutions for innovation projects including.


• Mechanical engineering for development and technology projects to deliver against design brief and functional performance and developing innovative concepts to solve engineering challenges.


• Managing the prototype design, iterative development, and testing activities to validate these concepts leveraging the capabilities of the team (mechanical engineers and technicians)


• Develop strong relationships with suppliers to enable access to newest technologies and facilitate prototype production and scale up to full production.


• Work with Partners to provide innovative concept generation to solve engineering challenges.


• Support the Device Development team on all project requirements (EVP and HT).
  
  Experience in product development (industry or university) and excellent knowledge/experience of manufacturing processes (injection moulding, stamping, extrusion)


• High level of competence in planning and risk mitigation with large/critical R&D projects


• Experience in material selection given the products environment (temperature, chemical, appearance)


• Excellent at concept generation - finding innovative solutions to engineering problems.


• DFMEA knowledge and ability to create for new designs with cross-functional team.


• Experience in IP generation.


• 3D (& 2D) design experience design experience, able to use SolidWorks (or similar software) to create innovative concepts to address engineering challenges.
