Full Job Description

Play a significant role in the development & delivery of actions to improve biodiversity across the Borough (ensuring there is effective dialogue with adjoining authorities as appropriate) including contributing significantly to the Council's response to the Climate Emergency.

To provide and /or procure specialist ecological support for the management & development of sites for biodiversity, wildlife and related issues.
Co-ordinate the work of partner organisations in relation to Bolton's greenspaces, with specific responsibility for the management of local Nature Reserves., This post is a designated customer facing role under the fluency duty and requires a specified level of spoken English as per the person specification.

You will have a degree or equivalent experience in a relevant ecological or environmental field with experience of managing sites for wildlife and biodiversity.

You will have a thorough knowledge and understanding of wildlife and biodiversity issues as they relate to Local Authorities with an ability to prepare, implement and monitor management plans.

You will bring an enthusiasm for partnership working across the public, private, voluntary and community sectors and an awareness of the challenges relating to that.

Grade G SCP 23 £32,076 to SCP 27 £35,745 (£16.62 to £18.52 per hour)
