Full Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a permanent Head of Fire Safety to join our team at Brindley Place.

As the Head of Fire Safety Manager, you will be responsible for safeguarding people`s lives and protecting property by advising, promoting, planning, formulating, implementing, and assisting activities and arrangements that take care of specific fire and life safety systems.

You will provide support to teams across the business to ensure that all requirements relating to fire safety are effectively managed, communicated and delivered.

Working closely and reporting to the Head of Health and Safety, this role plays a crucial part in the delivery of our fire safety arrangements.

For this role, it is essential that you have the following:

  • HNC/D in a Building related subject or qualified by experience.

  • Level 5 Diploma in fire safety or fire engineering.

  • Membership of the Institute of Fire Safety Managers or an equivalent membership body.


  • You will require broad knowledge and understanding of Approved Documents to the Building Regulations. This will also include knowledge and understanding of Approved Documents to the Building Regulations.

    Experience of fire safety enforcement procedures and audits is essential for this role.

    A good understanding of passive and active fire protection measures and their associated design, installation, and maintenance requirements would be beneficial for this role.

    You will require a significant experience of housing related asset management/maintenance, property compliance and fire safety management. This will also include up-to-date knowledge of fire safety legislation and building regulations.
