The Head of Schools & University Engagement is a key leadership role in the Audiences & Content Directorate, that leads on the strategic development and delivery of engagement and programming (online and onsite) for learners in formal education, for educators and for the Collegiate University of our Oxford community.
The postholder will increase our reach and reputation within the schools' community in Oxfordshire and across the UK, providing a variety of programmes and resources for schools that are ambitious, innovative and meet their everchanging needs. The postholder will also increase the visibility of our collegiate University in the Ashmolean and that of the Ashmolean in our Collegiate University.
You will develop and implement a data-driven approach to school and university engagement programmes, and revenue generation with greater focus on audience insight. You will review all formal learning projects and programmes to ensure they are optimised for our audience needs and motivation, in line with audience development plan and income -generating targets. You will ensure that our collegiate University is visible in the Ashmolean and that the Ashmolean is visible in the collegiate University.
This is a permanent, full time post, working 37.5 hours per week. You will be based in the office during term times, with the possibility to work from home 1-2 days per week during school holidays.

You will have experience of developing and delivering formal learning (pre-schoolers to sixth form) and university engagement (including students and University and College employees).
You will have sound knowledge of current pedagogical and museological, thinking & best practise within the cultural sector.
You will have demonstrable experience of management, including strategic planning and reporting, project management skills and experience, budget management and reporting and line management, mentoring or coaching of staff and freelancers.
You will be proactive, collaborative, self-motivated and solutions-focused with the ability to respond creatively, and with humour, to challenges and to lead through change.
