HGV Technician

· To maintain and repair HGV's, including trailers, in accordance with the manufacturer guidelines and supporting Company Policies.

· Ensure vehicles are maintained above the minimum standards required by the DVSA between scheduled service/ inspection dates to support existing third-party servicing arrangements.

· Have the ability to work to a job card within the estimated time frame.

· Identify additional parts which are damaged, but not included on a job card and report these for potential supplementary work.

· Report unseen damage to a manager once it is identified.

· Maintain accurate records of all repairs, tests performed, and results obtained.

· Previous experience as an MOT Tester or similar role.

· Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of vehicle systems.

· Must be able to prioritise your work in a fast-paced environment and manage a high workload.

· Follow correct repair methods.

· Reliable and self-motivated, with a strong work ethic and a positive attitude.

· Attention to detail.

· Good written and spoken English is essential.

Qualifications Required:

· Qualifications such as ATA/IMI/NVQ/VCQ would be an advantage.

· Relevant licenses to drive or test vehicles and equipment.

However, we really love speaking to any applicants who have a wealth of experience within the Motor Industry. HMS Truck will provide company-funded training to the successful candidate, if required.

The Package & Company Benefits:

· 47.5 hours per week with half an hour lunch.

· Monday - Friday (no weekends or compulsory overtime).

· Shift Pattern - 07:30 - 1700 (Monday - Thursday) 07:00 - 16:30 (Friday).
