Full Job Description

As our new Housing Digital Improvement Senior Officer, you will lead on the day-to-day management and improvement of technical data relating to property related compliance activity within the service and wider property related activity.

The post holder will support Housing Leeds to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and develop intelligent and data driven business process to ensure value for money is delivered for the Housing Revenue Account

The post holder will support the preparation of data within the context of the new Regulator of Social Housing inspection regime and pre-inspection internal audit requirements.

Your role will be important in ensuring the council is more enterprising and efficient and fully maximises the use of digital technology to deliver its core functions. The role operates within the context of the council's Business Plan Objective to increase efficiency., To lead on, and/or contribute to, the delivery of projects and work packages to support Housing Leeds digital aims and ambitions. Ensuring access to the most up to date digital systems that are utilised in the most effective way.

Responsible for planning and managing the work for the Housing Digital Improvement Team and ensuring it is completed to a high standard. You will live and model values and behaviours to help us to achieve our ambition to become the best city council in the country.

Your role will be important in ensuring the council is more enterprising and efficient and fully maximises the use of digital technology to deliver its core functions. The role operates within the context of the council's Business Plan Objective to increase efficiency.,

  • To prepare, plan and manage User Acceptance Testing for Housing ICT systems ensuring business requirements and success criteria are met and systems are fit for purpose.

  • To manage, control and challenge change requests within Housing ICT systems, gathering information to identify and consider costs, benefits, solutions, and wider cross cutting impacts within the directorate.

  • To take responsibility and be accountable for developing and implementing appropriate, proportionate, and effective solutions to complex service delivery issues or problems.

  • Support the production of robust option appraisals using information from a variety of sources to help determine priorities and aid decision making.

  • To improve data quality through review and ongoing improvement, putting customers at the heart of everything that we do.

  • To manage the performance of team members to ensure service standards and requirements are maintained within the policies and procedures of Leeds City Council and monitor the Housing Digital Improvement Teams workload ensuring that deadlines are met and expected outcomes are achieved.

  • Ensure HR policies and procedures relating to managing staff are undertaken including managing attendance, performance management and grievance and disciplinary procedures.

  • Lead on the delivery of improvement projects/work packages, working with Subject Matter Experts within the service to review existing business processes and make recommendations for improvements and efficiencies in line with Housing Leeds digital aims and ambitions.

  • Support and develop plans for continuous improvement of Housing ICT systems and processes. Providing justification and identifying benefits and risks to enable key decisions to be made in relation to business priorities.

  • To lead, manage, motivate, and develop the team to work professionally, competently and in a forward thinking and customer focused way, whilst embracing collaborative partnership working, to achieve excellence.

  • Develop strong working relationships which will allow the team to provide challenge to service areas

  • Support relevant service leads in communicating change to their teams.

  • Participate in appraisal, training, and development activities as necessary to ensure up to date knowledge and skills
