Full Job Description

You will work as a member of the Recruitment Team and Operations team. The main focus of this particular role is to provide administrative support for both teams as required.
Working in the Recruitment team, you will support recruiting managers in finding the talents they need. You will administer recruitment campaigns including preparing advertisements, arranging shortlisting and interviews, processing pre-employment checks, and running a new starter induction.
Working in the Operations team, you will assist with a wider range of tasks in relation to the employee cycle such as completing monthly payroll changes, sending out various reminders (fixed-term contract, visa, probation, etc.), staff card renewal, minute-taking, and expense claims.
You will be the first point of contact for managers, employees, and job applicants contacting the HR team, and you will be dealing with enquiries by email and over the phone as well as passing enquiries onto the appropriate team member.
This is a full-time, permanent post working 36.5 hours per week. The team is currently working hybrid.

You will be able to work in a busy, sometimes pressurised environment, where planning and organisation skills are essential to meet multiple deadlines.
A high level of numeracy and accuracy is key to preparing offer letters and contracts.
You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills to liaise with key stakeholders at all levels.
Experience of working in/with HR and working at a university would be welcomed.
