The Opportunity...

EDF EPR Engineering UK (EPR-E) established in 2023, is responsible for delivering the design for a number of NI buildings, systems and equipment contracts for the Hinkley Point C EPR Project through an integrated team, support to HPC construction and commissioning activities, and preparing design replication feasibility and engineering activities for the Sizewell C Project. Therefore, a Technical Directorate is being created, responsible for the engineering disciplines and technical expertise required to deliver the different engineering projects through integrated teams in EPR-E.

For the SZC Project, work on the replication strategy and some early design studies are already underway and being delivered and managed from both France and UK.

As the Intellectual Property Lead, you will be responsible for implementing the Intellectual Property Licence Agreement (IPLA) for the SZC Project, ensuring its operability within both EDF/Edvance entities and the SZC Client.,

  • Managing and coordinating IPLA contract activities with EDF/Edvance entities and the SZC Client.

  • Overseeing and assessing IP requests from SZC Project stakeholders.

  • Preparing for quarterly IPR Committees to address IP issues.

  • Handling contractual and technical interfaces with the SZC Client regarding IP topics.

  • Leading and supervising the IPLA categorisation of EDF/Edvance deliverables.

  • Supporting Document Management and IT teams in defining the categorisation methodology.

  • Setting up and initiating compliance checks for IPLA requirements to be met by the SZC Client.

  • Supporting other projects, including Hinkley Point C EPR, with IPLA contract implementation.

    Do you have experience in the nuclear industry? Are you knowledgeable in ERR design delivery? Are you an effective communicator with strong stakeholder engagement skills? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment where each day brings new challenges and opportunities to excel?, Experience (minimum 7 years) in the nuclear industry.

  • Knowledge and understanding of EPR design delivery.

  • Experience in contract management from a technical standpoint.

  • Ability to deal with multiple interfaces.

  • Organisational skills, capability to meet commitments and deadlines.

  • Knowledge of nuclear engineering design sequences and experience with Intellectual Property topics would be beneficial.
