Full Job Description

Reporting to our Executive Director of Finance and Resources, the Interim Deputy Director of People is one of 10 Leadership Team members who work with our Board and Executive to deliver NCH Strategy 2025 and drive the merger programme.

With overarching responsibility for the delivery of people management services, including HR, Learning & Development, and Payroll, you will have a proven track record, knowledge and understanding of practices and procedures in these areas.

You'll motivate and inspire your team to deliver an efficient and effective service so we can be the very best for our customers, communities and colleagues.

As a people-centred professional, you will balance the needs of our customers with the capability and capacity of our colleagues by actively building on our people practices, policies and procedures.

Using a collaborative and focused approach, you'll be a key partner and critical friend to other Leadership Team members and the Executive, challenging ways of working and embedding a continuous learning and improvement approach throughout the association.

You'll be a trusted, professional and effective partner that relishes the opportunity to work with a range of internal and external stakeholders in delivering our inclusive People Plan and lead on the colleague workstream of the merger programme.

If you are an experienced senior HR professional with a strong background of change management, continuous improvement and a desire to make a socially driven difference, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

At Newport City Homes (NCH), we're passionate about providing quality homes in communities where people want to live. We are an association which strives for excellence in everything we do. We listen, learn, improve, and most of all, deliver to our communities.

We do not require recruitment agency support at this time - all speculative CV's will be treated as a direct application.
