LILS / KF / SAW - Female Personal Assistant - Lostock Hall Area

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Personal Assistant to provide support to a "young and outgoing" 51 year old female wheelchair user, with a spinal cord injury, within her own home and the local community.

As a Personal Assistant, your duties will include providing some personal care and training will be provided, domestic support, e.g. cleaning, laundry, and food preparation, along with assistance during shopping trips, attending appointments and social events.

Previous experience is not essential, as training will be given. It is more important to be hardworking, have a positive attitude and a sense of humour. You should have excellent communication, be able to show initiative, and there will be flexibility from both parties regarding hours, where possible.

Must be willing to undertake a DBS check (the cost of which will be covered by the employer).

This is a part time position for 16 hours per week with an hourly rate of £11.50, rising to £12.50 per hour once your training and probation period are completed.
Plus 5.6 weeks paid annual leave and workplace pension scheme.

The post does not require you to work evenings or weekends. Hours can be adapted to fit in school hours where necessary.
