Long Distance Van Driver

loading same-day as delivering between 6am -8am

- daily mileage will be 300+ miles - 499 miles.

- delivering anywhere within the uk to residential customers - up to 5 drops a day.

- 5 day working.

- Vehicle, Insurance and fuel supplied.
- Safely and efficiently operate a van to transport goods and materials to designated locations
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securement
- pre planned routes to destinations using GPS or other navigation tools
- Communicate with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate deliveries and provide updates on delivery status
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance, such as checking fluid levels, tire pressure, and brakes
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while operating the van
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including receipts, mileage logs, and customer signatures

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Previous experience as a van driver or delivery driver preferred
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and procedures
- Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and team members effectively
- Basic mechanical knowledge for performing routine vehicle inspections and maintenance
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading cargo

Note: This position involves driving commercial vehicles up to 3.5t equivalent to long wheel base sprinters.
