We have a fantastic opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer to join the team at 3DPLY, based at our site in Blandford.

3D Ply specialises in the manufacture of plywood and solid wood components. They are part of the Stannah Group which is a long standing, family owned British company.

The Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer is responsible for ensuring that the production equipment and facilities are operating at maximum performance. They are key to making sure that downtime is minimised by ensuring that preventative maintenance plans (TPM) are implemented and that Continuous Improvement opportunities are maximised.,

  • Ensure equipment and plant facilities meet current and future Health, Safety and Environmental legislation.


  • Support and participate in projects and initiatives which improve Health, Safety and Environmental performance.


  • Ensure regular scheduled maintenance activities are completed.


  • Diagnose and rectify equipment failures / breakdowns and to suggest and implement improvements.


  • Maintain adequate stock holding of equipment spares.


  • Support the installation and relocation of new and existing equipment using applicable resources.

    We are looking for an engineer who has worked in a progressive manufacturing environment with experience of automated and manual production processes.


  • To excel as a Maintenance Engineer, proficiency in problem-solving is essential, alongside strong interpersonal and communication skills.

    The successful candidate will have a Continuous Improvement mindset, ideally knowledge of Lean Manufacturing tools and techniques and potentially a familiarity with ISO quality control procedures and systems.,
  • A recognised electrical / electronic / mechanical engineering qualification or equivalent is essential
