Full Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity in our Asset Management Product Tower for a Maximo System Analyst to support more than 300 Maximo EAM system users.

The role oversees, and manages the administration, configuration and user support of multiple Maximo MAG Group environments. It is also responsible for Maximo system reporting providing Maximo data auditing and the creation of a reports suite for users and stakeholders of Maximo.

Role Responsibilities

  • Ensure that Maximo is functioning optimally and that daily system checks are performed according to established operating procedures.

  • Implement small scale configuration changes to Maximo EAM / Maximo Application suite

  • Provide support to project teams implementing larger scale system change

  • Provide support to data asset data team to ensure loading of data is done in the most efficient manner

  • Implement and update Maximo system documentation including standards, processes and training material.

  • Support and manage the day to day system maintenance activities such as data loads, corrections, troubleshooting issue reported by the help desk and end users.

  • Serving as the primary lead for achieving problem resolution.

  • Lead the analysis of Maximo system problems, diagnosing and finding the root cause and serving as the primary lead for achieving problem resolution.

  • Manage MAG Group user account information i.e. granting access to Maximo and its modules, access rights and licences.

  • Lead the analysis and improvements of the MAG Maximo system to achieve optimum performance.

  • Provide data quality and audit reporting in Maximo., to ensure up to date, accurate and clean data.

    At least 5 years' experience working with IBM Maximo products/solutions.


  • At least 5 years of experience and understanding, working with key Maximo functionality including Workorders, PMs, Job Plans, Locations, Assets, Meters, SRs and Service Level Agreements.

  • Maximo query and report writing (Excel VBA, BIRT, SQL, Business Intelligence (Preferably Tableau).

  • Ability to estimate reliably, the time, effort, dependencies and resources required to complete a development task or change.

  • Ability to quickly learn and understand complex applications and other system technologies.

  • Can demonstrate experience in supporting Maximo production environment(s) providing support for incidents and root cause analysis.

  • Proven history of supporting technical teams.

  • Excellent troubleshooting skills - problem analysis and solution finding / decision making.

  • Advanced understanding of general database dependencies.

  • Knowledge of change and release management processes.

  • Excellent communication (oral and written).

  • Works well under pressure.

  • Excellent Microsoft Office Skills (Word, Excel, Project, Powerpoint)

  • SharePoint development skills would be advantageous.
