Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team supporting a variety of engine types across the UK and overseas Air Forces. Rolls-Royce is contracted to deliver a range of technical support services and maintenance capabilities both on main operating bases and internationally. As an international mobile FSR, you would join a rotation of postings to support at customer locations in the UK and overseas. Each posting normally has a duration of between 2-5 years, depending on the location, before being rotated into subsequent support locations. Options and benefits to allow families to accompany on postings away from home are available.

Your initial assignment would be supporting the Lynx Helicopter team powered by the Gem engine, with this role being based at Hanwha Aerospace Company Limited facility in Changwon. Rolls-Royce is contracted to deliver a range of technical support services and maintenance capabilities, plus provide support back to our Bristol based program team. As the Field Service Representative for Gem, your principal accountabilities will be to provide local technical support in respect of the operation and maintenance of the Lynx Engine, ensuring prompt resolution of technical issues thus minimising operational disruption. Key to this role is your ability to manage multiple stakeholders across the KAF, Rolls-Royce and external partners.

What you'll be doing:

  • Resolution of ML1, 2, & 4 customer issues in line with customer requirement.

  • Proactively identify threats to fleet operability and to drive necessary mitigating actions to ensure customer and contract KPIs are met.

  • Input engine events and data highlighting to the wider organisation engine related issues that are impacting fleet reliability and operability.

  • Provide support to help maintain customer satisfaction/complaint targets and delivery, including proactive management of issues to resolution

  • Management of "in service" customer relationships across various levels within the customer, OEM and supplier organisations

  • Monitor and input fleet data and liaise with the customer community on short-term fleet planning and availability to ensure that they have confidence in the level of service being provided and to manage customer expectations.

  • Lead maintenance activities where Maintenance Repair and Overhaul activity is conducted

  • Qualified to at least HND level or having equivalent relevant experience.


  • Knowledge of aerospace Regulatory Requirements.


  • A Customer focused attitude.


  • Experience of aircraft propulsion system and maintenance at ML1-ML4 is essential.


  • Background within a propulsion trade or come from a relevant Engineering/Service Engineering discipline or holds equivalent qualifications, is essential.
