Job Summary: As a Mobile Lead Technician for Integral UK, your primary responsibility will be to perform Portable Appliance Testing (PAT Testing) across multiple locations within Sunbury, South East, Milton Keynes, and London. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations while delivering high-quality service to clients., + Perform thorough inspections and testing of electrical appliances, equipment, and systems according to industry guidelines and safety regulations.
+ Conduct visual inspections and electrical tests on a range of appliances including computers, printers, kettles, microwaves, power tools, etc.
+ Identify and document any faults, damages, or potential hazards during testing.
+ Issue appropriate test certificates and labels to indicate compliance with relevant standards.
+ The role will provide support the SAP with monitoring of sub-contract works including enforcement of the Control of Work requirements. The role is responsible for the safe execution, agreed quality and timely completion of sub-contract work and to ensure that the Client & JLL requirements are adhered to at all times. Support with out of contracted hours works and manage contractors and own work load Accordingly in accordance and support from the Site and management team., + Responsibility for ensuring all critical related engineering maintenance documentation & records are kept updated and conform JCI & Industry Standards
+ Ensure maintenance tasks are completed within agreed timescales.
+ Liaise with Clients representatives with respect to maintenance & repair tasks.
+ Advise the Facilities Management Team of changes in critical environment requirements
+ Must be willing to work over & above contractual hours.
+ Undertake site surveys & produce Works Requests, Method Statements & Risk Assessments for planned works.
+ Undertake Upgrade & Install works.
+ Control and supervise contractors when required.
+ To ensure all PPM's and Critical Facility PPM's are carried out to schedule and also ensure completion of all reactive Helpdesk Requests ensuring closing and completion in line with SLA's
+ Ensure maintenance is carried out in line with JLL H&S procedures, using the permit to work system where applicable and action improvements identified during the building and workplace inspections and reviews
+ Monitor and analyse environmental conditions, review the loading and working conditions of critical equipment regularly, Note: This job description is intended to provide a general overview of the responsibilities and requirements of the position. + High level electrical bias technician to maintain all LV systems. The individual should have completed a recognised approved Electrical apprenticeship and have the relevant electrical qualifications to work on LV systems. Ability to fault find LV / ELV control systems including monitoring and fault diagnostics on power quality.
+ To be able to install and maintain new plant and equipment when required, ensure that plant faults and defects are swiftly rectified. Ensure that suitable spares are available to carry out both maintenance and reactive works and to establish estimated timescales to carry out remedial works, carry out PAT and oversee FET.
+ The individual should have good understanding of Electrical systems and fundamentals, including the ability to be able to operate the equipment at its full potential. This includes basic controls knowledge with the ability to diagnose and repair any related issues.
+ Mange time on Projects to suite deadlines and complete assigned tasks as stipulated by Technical Services / Project managers
+ Understanding of CHP power generation, G59, auto changer systems.
+ Experience and understanding of PAT and FET.
+ Ability to test and diagnose power quality issues including harmonic distortion using onsite power analysers
+ Able to apply a risk focused maintenance approach and operations of plant and systems in data centres/critical environments
+ Provide emergency response standby, call out. Escalate urgent issues identified through to the Technical Services Manager. Respond to work interruptions, outages or emergencies consistent with the SLA., + Proven experience in Portable Appliance Testing (PAT), with a thorough understanding of relevant guidelines and safety regulations.
+ Strong technical knowledge of electrical equipment and systems.
+ Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify faults, damages, and potential hazards.
+ Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
+ Leadership qualities to lead and mentor a team of technicians.
+ Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks efficiently.
+ Strong commitment to health and safety practices.
+ Relevant certifications such as City & Guilds 2377 or equivalent would be beneficial.
+ Building Services Knowledge
+ Electrical Knowledge
+ Commercial systems LV switching Knowledge
+ Facility knowledge understand systems.
+ HSE Knowledge
+ City & Guilds or equivalent in an Engineering, Building Services, Construction or related discipline
+ SMSTMS / IOSH / NEBOSH certification desirable
+ Manager or supervisory experience of contractors for both remedial service and maintenance,
+ Certificated assessor for building services activities including confined space, hot works, working at height, desirable hold or held a AP appointment for pressure systems
+ Experienced Authorised Person and competent operator of Permit to Work systems
+ Computer literate, familiar with MS Office Applications, including Microsoft Project and capable of becoming competent user of bespoke databases
+ Experience of having worked in a similar role within a large diverse organisation and have a proven track record of success in delivering and monitoring EHS activities
+ Excellent knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental issues, with the ability to interpret relevant policy and legislation, and implement this across all working practices.
+ Ideally, experience of working in a continuous improvement culture.
+ Minimum of 5 yrs experience with a Recognised Apprenticeship
+ BMS Controls Experience / HVAC Experience
+ Understanding not limited to PRVs , Pumps, Bore water systems, compressors LP. Boilers & steam Systems
+ Read system drawings, fault finding on relays, PCBs, closed water systems. Pipe work specification.
+ Worked on and issued Permits and Isolations to support the account.
+ Confident decision maker
+ Water Hygiene
+ Understanding of plc wiring diagrams.
+ Experience of invertors and working on systems with ELV.
+ Electrical Wiring Regulations
+ Experience of operation of UPS, Standby Power and Critical Environment Cooling
+ Higher Diploma / NVQ level in Electrical engineering
+ Testing and Inspection of Electrical systems
+ Minimum of 5 yrs experience in operating data centres/critical environments
