Full Job Description

We are looking for a hardworking and dedicated Health Advisors to join our growing team.,

  • Answer and respond to incoming calls to the IUC/NHS111 service from members of the public, healthcare practitioners or other professionals.

  • Triaging patient calls using the appropriate Pathways system, ensuring Pathways is followed and the correct advise and outcome is selected.

  • You will accurately record and check or amend details on the call logging computer system.

  • Always maintain a calm and professional manner, dealing with callers with empathy and understanding.

  • Support the safeguarding of individuals following local protocols and standards.

  • Relate to others in ways which support rights, inclusion and wellbeing of individuals, supporting individuals to keep themselves safe.

    Essential GCSE Grade A-C in English and Maths

  • Drive and passion to make a difference to people's lives.

  • Personal resilience to work in a high-pressured environment

  • Ability to work well within a team as well as independently

  • Fast and accurate typing skills

  • Good standard of education or equivalent experience.

  • Ability to remain calm under pressure

  • Good problem-solving skills

  • Eligible to work in the UK and 18 years and over

    This is your chance to train to be a Health Advisor in our 111 contact centre, handling calls from members of the public. You'll learn how to use a state-of-the-art triage tool called NHS Pathways to assess patients over the phone and direct them to the most appropriate care. Although these are not emergency calls, you'll also need to be prepared to deal with emotional, distressing or life-threatening scenarios and to arrange for 999 services if required.
    We offer enhanced pay rates for weekends, contracts from 16 hours per week to cover our core shifts.
  • £11.48 per hour- daytime and during training

  • £14.27 per hour - Enhanced contractual night rate (23:00-0700)

  • £14.77 per hour - Enhanced red zone weekend contractual night rate (23:00-0700) subject to T&C when working more than 26 hours per week.
